From IMDB:

Quote:
Two young Gatlin residents are orphaned after the younger brother kills their father. So, the terror of Gatlin goes urban when the two boys are placed in the custody of two foster parents. The younger brother (who by this point is established as the "evil one") bought some corn seeds along for the road and plants them in the courtyard of an abandoned warehouse, bring He Who Walks Behind the Rows to the city. He winds up possessing his high school peers, and soon his older brother feels called to stop him
Ring any bells?

HELLBOY 2:

Whoa. That movie.... was insane. Spectacular barely gives it the credit it deserves. Del Toro is a genius, and this was a work of art. 50 times better than the first. Go see it. Right. Now.

9.5/10

The only thing I didn't like was the first ten minutes. Otherwise... wow.

I'm going on Monday. No spoilers til then okay because I am a huuuge Hellboy Fan. The fact that they brought the BPRD into it is just that much better and Liz Sherman is pretty well my hero. Thank God for Mike Mignola.

The Tracey Fragments. The new Ellen Page indieflick. Watch the trailer (which is excellent BTW), the entire film is presented in that format. Ellen Page gives a performance which shows why she was nominated for JUNO (I thought, while the performance in that film was good... she did a much better job in Hard Candy, and in this film. She deserves an award, it's just hard to say for which role.) It's very much what the title states. Fragments from her life. Snippets, here and there. Of a story. Of her little brother running away, how it happened, and what she goes through and how she escapes it (physically and mentally.) I thought it was very depressing. I really liked it.

The Ruins. It was a very well-directed flick. I'm a big Carter Smith fan. Go watch Bugcrush.

Rapid Fire. Decent. Brandon Lee... why'd you have to go? I'd much rather you have a lengthier filmography, and of course, still be alive.

Eddie And the Cruisers II. It dumps the atmosphere and format of the first, and goes for a less mysterious, and more linear story. The first had a basic plotline, and carried a very heavy atmosphere and sense of mystery. It used musical scenes and flashbacks to fill out it's runtime. It was well crafted. The sequel wasn't bad, but I much prefer the first.

Superhero Movie. I've seen Spiderman, do I really need to sit through a spoof who's every scene is based on one I've seen before? It gets repetitive. I did LOL once, which is odd. The casket scenes always get me. In this, and Scary Movie 4 (or was it 3?) If you have nothing, and I mean nothing, better to do or watch... you MIGHT want to check this out. It's not the worst of the ____ Movie / Meet the Spartans line-up.

The Big Easy.

Wanted 2/10

Personally, I hated this movie. They totally fucked over the comic. The comic was one of the best that I have ever read, and this movie totally disreguarded anything that had to do with it. I was hoping the parts that were in the movie that came from the comic were going to make up for the rest of the movie. I was wrong. The only reason I gave it a 2 was for the final line. Thats the only redeamable thing from the movie. Other than that.... Yeah you might like it if you didn't read the comic, but if you did, stay away, far far away.
