Crimson Tide.

A taut, suspenseful action drama. Impressive watching two acting giants- Denzel & Hackman going head to head against each other.

I generally enjoy the occasional children's movie, especially if there's decent CGI and well-crafted beasties.

That being said, never before have I wanted to shoot a child in the face more than I have while watching this film. I HATE child actors. I HATE pandering scripts for "children's movies." And I HATE interesting stories that should have made fun films.

1.5/5 (that extra .5 is for the cool looking monsters)

needless to say i watch a ton of kids films - so i'm always praying for something i'll actually enjoy.

i didnt mind this one because i did enjoy the visuals, but ill admit that i found the kid weak (and weird looking)

loved those toad monsters though.

with the success of Harry Potter - every single decent selling kids novel is being optioned. we're going to see a lot more of these..

The Toolbox Murders.

The remake. The original didnt leave much of an impression, anyway, and it was good to see a fresh take on it. Tobe Hooper does a competent job, and Angela Bettis impresses again (after May). This is one lady who should get more exposure in such kind of flicks - she looks like almost a natural with her ease. After a kickass beginning, the middle 30 mins get a bit slow, but the finale is quite stunning and more than makes up for it.

All in all, a good little fun flick to get the pulse racing in a winter evening.

Equilibrium.
I really like this film.
The numerous comments I've heard that this "rips off" the matrix piss me off - they can only really attribute this to one scene. One.
It's a far superior film anyways IMO, although the first (and by god only the first) matrix came close.
See it if you like good, solid scifi.

I was really impressed with the strangers. I love it. I saw it in theaters and it scared me pretty good. I keep watching it online. I wanted to buy it today at best buy but I should wait until the price drops a bit before I break the bank.
