My father has asked me to find a movie for him. I am not sure when it was made to I'll take stab and ask about it here. He tells me it was about a guy on a road trip across the U.S. All is going well when he meets up with a tanker truck. You see the trucker's arm out the window waving him ahead but as soon as the main chracter tries to pass another truck is coming the other way. For the rest of the movie the tanker driver tries to kill the guy in the car. It ends when they are racing across a field, the car makes a quick right and the tanker runs over a cliff and goes boom. I have not seen the movie myself but I hoped it might ring a bell with someone here.
Thanks a bunch for at least reading the vague description:)

What is the other 1970s movie about Gargoyles, not Gargoyles (1972)?
I haven't seen the film; this post is made up from others' posts who have. On TV in the late 60's very early 70's. Takes place in a small town with a school and several other buildings. Had a castle (or maybe it was actually a more modern gothic-style stone building). During the day, the gargoyles were stone statues atop city buildings. When night fell they re-animated (alive, through animation), flying all around wreaking havoc on all humanity. One of the gargoyle characters was polite with a timid personality. :D The costumes/effects were awesome, not like masks. ALL the gargoyles had wings, not just 2 adults. They were fairly sympathetic characters, if I remember, kind of like Quasimodo in "the Hunchback of Notre Dame." (If not confused with the other film) a scene has someone driving thorough the woods and a gargoyle jumps out and lands on the hood of the car. The car is driving at speed and you can here the gargoyle actually chase the car down on foot, jump on top of it, and proceed to beat the hell out of it It's not the cartoon Gargolyles made in 90's. |

desperate after the title!
I saw a movie a long time ago, maybe ten years or so, I remember it was the most horrific movie I had seen and still remember it as so.
the scenes i remember are one scene in what I think was a hotel room, on a very high floor, the man who was asleep in the room suddenly wakes up, and there was a hot girl lying next to him which he didnt know who was, he took a good look and eveything looked normal, then as he turns her over, the part lying downwards the bed was severely rotten and you could see the bone structure and the next thing i remember is that she threw him through the window, and down to a pool that was directly under the outside of the room, waaaaay down. he dies ofcourse. this is the scene i think will ring a bell if any are rung, and do not mistake it with the "thinner" movie, cause that wasn't it! but she was a white female. then the next thing is further into the movie, probably very near to the end, i can remember the girl (which i seem to remember was killed by the people she was killing) had a white dress, or maybe a wedding dress and then the people, or possible one man recognizes her and says her name, then after a short time, he gets killed. not much to go on, i have searched imdb after numerous keywords but no hits yet. in norwegian the title was "gjenferdet" which means ghost or similar to that, but the movie was english spoken and the names translated to norwegian dont always have the same meaning as the real title. hope someone out there knows the name of the movie! Does anyone know these movies?
I've been having a good time googling horror movies I remember seeing as a kid in the late 70's early 80's. Most, I can remember at least some of the title or bits of the plot, enough to find the movie. However, there are a couple I simply can't seem to find. I have vague memories of these 2 movies, and one I remember seeing a couple times. They were your staple "shown on cable TV once a year" variety. Anyway, in the first one, I remember a woman in her home being hypnotised or something by someone (her son maybe) who had no eyes, and she went in the kitchen and strated cutting her own fingers off with a kitchen knife. I think she had her hand on a cutting board even. I definately remember the "monster" had no eyes, and the fingers getting cut off. I think this same movie at one point showed some little people (midgets) with oversized needles. Yeah, I know, sounds weird. I have no idea how any of this ties it together, but I hope someone will remember this movie (or movies). Anyone??
Second one, I saw a couple times, at least. There was a crazy person, or monster who was kept tied up or locked in a barn maybe? One scene shows a woman and a man starting to get frisky in the barn, and this thing atttacks them. I don't remember if it kills them or what. The "monster" just kind of grunted I think. That's all I remember. A third one I managed to find was Lemora the Lady Dracula. Weird flick that really used to scare the heck out of me. I remember the little girl hiding under the porch and looking up through the floor boards. I'd love to see that again as an adult. Thanks. |
