I havent read this book so I cannot say how it holds in comparison to the written work, but there's too much happening all the time, so I am thinking the makers took some liberties. The ending felt flat. Overall, watch it at home if you have nothing else to see/do on a boring Sunday afternoon.

I wasn't a fan of the first movie. I don't know why, but I have a problem with Tom Hanks as the lead character. I'll wait until it comes out on DVD and put it in the queue.

I highly recommend the book, V. Somehow, I read Angels & Demons before Da Vinci Code........I liked A&D way better than Code.

I dont have a problem with the man. I liked his portrayals in Philadelphia, Forrest Gump, The Green Mile etc. But he doesnt fit the bill of an action hero to me. I just dont see why they persist on making him some sort of modern Harrison Ford or Bruce Willis for that matter. Plus, he looks bloated and totally ill-at-ease all through the movie (like he was in Da Vinci Code too).

I dunno. Maybe others will have a different opinion than me about these films. But I can honestly say I didnt like either the first one or this one. Come to think of it, I dont even remember a single scene of the first one right now, and have forgotten most of this too.

Noted about the book. I ll get it asap during the coming vacations. Thanks. :)

I apologize, I misled you. I adore Tom Hanks' body of work.....I just don't like his portrayal of this character in these two.....well, I guess I have to say the first movie since I haven't seen the second one yet.

rofl...no need of apologies, darling.

And you nailed it. Tom Hanks doesnt fit the bill of Robert Langdon. The role is more suitable for a younger Harrison Ford or umm...maybe Johnny Depp or Robert Downey Jr among the current crop.

I was thinking more along the lines of George Clooney, Hugh Jackman, or Viggo Mortensen........:p :D

The Signal (2006). i really liked this flick. Got a little confusing at times, but it came back around each time to enlighten me. The dark humor worked wonders, but did not detract from the bleak atmosphere. Ashe.
Did you know that the three segments were done by different directors/writers?
I think that was kind've the idea of the film?
Glad to hear you enjoyed it - loved how this one went from zero to crazy in under 2 minutes.
"Have you got.....the crazy??"

I watched the The Signal the other night too. I was really impressed by it especially since I was really expecting to like it at all. Apart from some of the music used its one of the best genre flicks in ages. Dug how its like Bug crossed with 28 Days Later.

Coffy

Finally got round to watching this one. Fucking killer! Jack Hill is consistantly great in the exploitation field.

Prophecy II

Not bad, don't remember the original at all so can't really compare it. Pretty funny how Danzig is in it :D

Hideous!

This Full Moon flick started off pretty really but as usual it just fell flat at the end. It had a Basket Case (reminded me of the third film anyway) vibe going on but then just turned to shit. They really have some abrupt finales to their films its like "Fuck... let's just end it here"... no matter how stupidly it comes across.

Started on The Rapeman but the subtitles didn't wanna work on my disc so I gave up.

I actually just picked this one up yesterday in a bargain bin.
