That's a nice suggestion, but I wouldn't want to 'influence' my kids in any manner that pertains to their own personal tastes and/or opinions...I allow them to choose what they like for themselves, and I accept that their opinions are often different than mine...I have NO problem with that, as a matter of fact, I encourage their own personal freedom of expression :cool:

I have to agree, both of my sons love the punk music I play for them.They also LOVE Blink 182 and I don't discourage them from liking them(even though i don't).I am all for them making thier own musical choices.If they want to listen to Goatwhore, fine.Even though I can't stand that kind of music I won't tell them its wrong or they shouldn't listen.I tell them to listen to what sounds good to thier ears, even if it is mainstream bullshit that i don't agree with.My point:listen to what you like and fuck everyone elses opinion.

There's a convinience store or two around here, so my pals and I usually trot down and hang out behind it for hours. Drink slushies, piss in/on things, break into the school busses they park in the yards.

I agree .. open the doors for them if you like but everyone will chose their own path..you can't dictate or preprogram someones taste.
