Horror High isn't too bad. It's an okay slasher IMO.
It's mentioned here but yeah, I'd recommend The Gate. Younglings can "safely" watch Gremlins 1-2, Ghostbusters 1-2. You could even rent Paper House. It's very dark but not gory.

also hmm, you want "teen" ... "teen" "House of the Dead" and.................. ummmmm... "BMX Bandits" and...................... "Werewolf Shadow" Sorry, I can't think of any teen horror movies that are actually worth watching. There are so few of them, you know.

Just thought of another movie I loved when I was younger : The Garbage Pail Kids Movie. I barely remember anything about it but I do remember watching it over and over. I was a big fan of the trading cards.

When I was in the early teen years, I really liked People Under the Stairs.
Other good ones that have been mentioned already are Monster Squad, Gremlins, Ghostbusters...
