But thats my point right there..
we are put here to contribute so that
we can be remembered..whether it be through our offspring or by something we had said or done.
Its up to us as individuals to make our own mark in this world so that ppl will
look baack and say shit like..
ahhhhhhhhhhhh i remember stubborn...
she was the one that made no sense in
HDC forum.

All those ppl that are studied in our history
books left thier legacy one way or the other..
they are no different from you or i..
they just contributed more..

So basically..if you want to be remembered..
do something memorable :D

See...I used to worry and obssess about shit like this...
When you look at it my way, you'll see that the only bad part about death, is what those we leave behind have to go through in our abscense.
Here's the things I tell myself every time these thoughts about mortality come to mind
*In life, there's more bad than good IMO...so in death, you flush away more bad experiences and memories than good ones, sure, this doesn't make anything seem better, but, at least you shake off the negativity of life.
*If it is the "worst case scanario", and we just fade away into nothing, no cohesive thought, no memory, no "being", then at least we won't be around to give a fuck about it.
*You can't remember the time before you were conceived, right?
I'm guessing that you can't remember the time before you came into existence either...death must be pretty much just like that...and I personally have nothing to complain about during the time before I came into being, if death is just the same, no big thing. Maybe we have no memory of before we came into existence because we have ALWAYS been here, maybe we're eternal in the first place? I mean, NOBODY can remember coming into existence, right? Nobody. What are the odds of that?
*Think about it....absolutely nothing....impossible to comprehend, be it as an energy form dispersing across the galaxy, or some kind of residual consciousness, we simply must go on to...something...
*MAYBE, just MAYBE there's some fact to what many call "religion", I mean...when you look at it, a lot of them DO contain different versions of the same stories and messages.

AND AT #1: There's fuck-all you can do about it. All living things "perish", just do more right than wrong in life, and in death, if there is more than what our human minds are capable of perceiving, you'll be ok, and if there's not, again - you won't be around to give a fuck.

In closing, people should be good to eachother.
Have kids, they're part of you, so you've gotta be part of them, right?
Don't leave your family in debt, give more than you take, and if you only ever go on within the memories of others, make sure it'll reccollections that you were overall, a good person.
Death is not worth obssessing about, it only makes your life suck.
Ok, that's all I'm saying.

Then do something that won't be forgotten.

Do you think JFK or Martin Luther King or Ghandi or Neil Armstrong will ever be forgotten? Of course not.

Why not? Because they did something with their lives.

Do you think they sat around wasting their lives pondering things that can never truely be known? Or do you think they just went out there and did something remarkable?

What makes them any more special than you or me? The only difference between the people that are remembered and those that are forgotten is that the ones in the first group actually went out and did something worthy of remembering.

I'm not saying you have to go change the world (Although we could use it) but if being forgotten is one of your big fears (Which I think it pretty obviously is.) then just do something to be rememberded. Write a book, make a movie, get in to politics, have a kid, bury a time capsule... Any mark you can leave on this planet that will be here after you're gone will allow you to remembered for years to come.
