Still annoys me some.
Though, this film was a lot better than I was gearing myself up for...definitely more tolerable than "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" (which if you didn't know was ...kind of...a prequel, in that Brand played the same character), which I hated and found an absolute bore.
I swear I think the only people who claim to have liked that film were Jason Segel fans that wanted to save face, the film is just NOT that good to warrant the amount people seem to "love" it. It was one of the most boring comedies in the last 10 years.
But yeah, GHTTG was not too bad at all. The drug fight scene was the shit.
I thought that Forgetting Sarah Marshal was horrible... NO idea why people thought it was hilarious - It was a waste of an hour and a half of my life.

I actually enjoyed Get Him to the Greek a lot - The fake songs/music videos had me rolling. I agree that it was uneven; it's one of those movies where the parts are greater than the whole - Lots of really funny parts, but as a whole the movie isn't necessarily great. It's rewatchable for me, though.

...

Beneath the Dark (2010)

Better than average indie horror fare. I would have to say that I actually enjoyed the narrative and how the story unraveled itself (pretty early on you know that there's a secret just begging to be let free) - There was enough to keep me interested and watching it.

My only problem is that the "twist" was fairly predictable (but, in truth, probably because I've seen two other indie films that I can think of off the top of my head with similar themes - if I were a viewer who had not seen these films, Beneath the Dark might have surprised me).

[SPOILERS]
Same kind of "twist" you see with Dead End and Reeker. Having seen both of those films, I knew where this was going pretty early on.

[/SPOILERS]

Not bad - Good indie effort. Just lacks originality.

3/5.

I dont get why people hate Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Seriously what was so bad about it?

Beneath the Dark was okay, not great or anything though.

Ditto. The Devils is truly a magnificent & powerful film indeed. Oliver Reed gave one of his greatest performances, IMO. I'm sure you've seen Mother Joan of the Angels (1961) also...another brilliant film that comes with the sequel story of The Devils.

YellowBrickRoad (2010)

Not as good as I expected but this is a decent slow-burner 'woods of madness' flick that comes with an interesting element (song!) which contributed to create a Session 9 premise at YBR.

That's how i felt about Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Very few laughs, but not exactly a bad watch.

That makes sense. Nothing wrong with that. This was the first time i ever heard so much hate about it so it surprised me. Its not like its my favorite comedy or anything but i enjoyed it.

Bad Santa

I hadn't seen this in a while and it was just as funny. Billy Bob Thornton as the most mean shopping centre santa ever is brilliant. All of these things have to see the bad man make a change at the end but I really didn't mind this; it was nice and still a bit funny.

8/10

My favorite Billy Bob movie.

I usually hate the movies he's in, but this one took me by surprise. He was perfectly casted for that role. :)
