I agree with Hash about about the usual suspects (i love kevin spacey) and la confidential. also anything by quentin tarantino (although i hide behind the sofa during the ear scene in reservoir dogs).
I also think schindlers list needs a mention - now that is one powerful movie. it must have taken a lot of balls to produce/direct that one.

I fell asleep about 15 minutes into Schindler's List. It's was way boring. But I also fell asleep during Lost Highway. EVERY TIME. Those movies are guaranteed to knock me the fuck out.
I used to always fall asleep during Reservoir Dogs, too. But I have since seen Reservoir Dogs in it's entirety and now that I've seen the whole thing, I'm a huge fan. And no, I'm not narcoleptic. I remember Jurassic Park in the theater. I about pissed myself a couple of times during it. The sequels/continuations/whatever sucked ass though. Nothing scary about those.

OMFG I almost forgot the Jon Faverau (sp?) movies. Swingers was awesome! And I am also a HUGE fan of Night at the Roxbury.
