My opinion on this situation, well it is really disturbing. He seemed like a nice guy to me, like someone said you can never tell. It did take a lot of guts for one the victims to speek out, and for that you deserve respect, thank you for informing us, and from me well i'm sorry that you had to go through that, nobody should.

I am truly amazed by all the stuff i have heard, im an idiot and need to start being more carful. I apoligize for defending him at all, for being ignorent and not trusting other people who were warning me. Some times I guess im to trusting and to open and I think I need to change that for now on, it makes me to easy of a target. I thank every one who has put up with my ignorance and minor immaturety, maybe not even minor. truthfuly as much as I might complain, the mods here have been great to me and helped me out alote and even mebers who are difrent then me and started out not liking me have been good to me, i need to stop being ignorent and trusting, and chose who i talk to in some ways more carfully, I oviously have alote more to learn here then just spelling

It's perfectly understandable for us to be sensitive, and a bit cautious after what has just happened...But, sometimes a little levity helps to bring us back to normal (well, HDC normal)...We can't allow what has happened to change the entire tone of our forum and how we respond to each other

Like putting a pair of sunglasses on a dead possum and sticking a cigarette in its mouth to try to make it a little less 'ugly'...Gross? Yeah...In poor taste?...Most likely...Sinister/Harmful?...No, not really


We need to be aware of what's going on around us so that things like this don't happen again...But, we should not have to walk on eggshells

Wow! A lot has happened here since last week. It really shows that anybody can have a dark side and not all villains (or in this case sexual predators) are easily marked by black mustaches curled in their fingers, black top hats, and tying women to railroad tracks.

I'd like to thank Asylum for coming forward and sharing her experience and letting us all know part of what was really going on. I'd also like to share a conversation that I had with Tripp a few months back and that I think his behavior then relates to what was going on.

When I was new here he had PMed my me about my user name and had invited me to talk with him on yahoo messenger about movies. So I did and the conversation went quickly to flirting with me and sending me pictures of himself (just his face, nothing sexual) and wanting to see pics of me.

Well I told him I had nothing to send him so he asked me if I had a boyfriend and I said yes. I asked if he had a girlfriend and he said no, not really. I told him that that was usually a yes or no question and he said he sort of had a loose long distance relationship. I asked if she was in the military or something and he said no that she lived in Indiana and was 20 and a virgin and that they were engaged to be married and he was totally in love with this girl! If you had a fiancee they are usually not referred to as a loose long distance relationship in the very last preceding line in the IM.

Needless to say the conversation ended after that, which was my first and last with him. Now this conversation doesn't seem to completely cross the line, but after hearing why these people got banned, I can see where this conversation could have quickly gone and follows in line with that type of behavior. I just thought you all might want to know.

You do realise most of what Trippin told you were blatant lies? He was just coming on to you, and would have followed it with "heart break over a break up" then the proposal, and the next step would have been...you know what.
