actually i just looked up ChinChillas and they are good at firce fights with other native animals suck as the jakle and the????????
well i'll have to go back and look but its definettly there so anyway, They only bit,scrach,or kick you if provoked or if it feels like its in any type of threat.

Could somebody maybe post a picture of a chinchilla for me? We don't have them here...if they're a large rodent of some sort, having feirce fights to protect thri own wouldn't be uncommon...I mean I've seen rats defend their family, and you don't EVEN wanna fuck with those guys...
Anyways, just an update. As I said, I'm trying not to get o involved or hands on, but I just went and looked in the cage, and the mother was laying with her babies...I mean, I dunno if theyre ALL still alive (here's hoping) but I did see movement. All I can do right now is watch, feed her once a day, clean out any funky shit from the age, and let her do what she's gonna... From the looks of things, it MIGHT just be ok this time.:) - B.
