Ignorant, media-controlled fools.
Exactly! This is what pissed me off the most.
People wouldn't even give it a chance, not one,
they just assumed it sucked and wouldn't listen otherwise.

When it first came out and I saw the trailer while watching another movie, I have to admit that i didnt think it was that good -=hides from sailing bad fruit, if any is thrown=- but from friends and other people who have gone and seen it, i've deduced that it is a worthy movie and i will have to rent it out some time....

i think i got put off becuase of the tittle. its very basic...but i guess when you're making a movie about snakes on a plane, then well its the pefrect title.

The only thing that plagues this movie is... you can't watch it alone. It's an audience film. And the audience has to be into it just as much as you want to be. I saw the Thurdsay Midnight showing, and the audience was made up of fans who had been anticipating it just as much as I was. Best theatre experience I've ever had.

No offense, but this is exactly what I'm talking about. Because of its immediate cult status, it earned a bad rep.

You say that you haven't seen it, but, judging from the trailer, you "didn't think it was that good". You haven't seen it yet!

The other thing is that I don't think the plot is as simple as the title or the false rep its gotten implies.

Do you like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre? Because that title reveals as much about the film as 'Snakes' does about its film.

Thats what I was trying to say, I was one of those people who fobbed it off before even viewing the film. But I've learnt that it actually might be a good film, I'm waiting to see it now.

I wasn't in anyway saying it was crap, because well lets face it, some of the best movie's can have pretty bad publicity. And some of the best publicised movie's tend to fall flat on their face for me.

Except 300, I dont see that being a flop at all.

But "Snakes..." looked crap the first time I viewed the trailer, but now I'm kind of warming to it. I'm going to rent it as soon as it comes out.
