Well if book choices determined you future career I could see what direction I'd be going in.

In grade 3 I read a lot of Encyclopedia Brown. Grade 4 I started reading Agatha Christie novel. I read every single one by the end of the year. Also read Goosebumps a lot that year. Then in grade 5 I read Dracula and then started on Poe.:D

i read everything and anything when i was a kid.
still do ..

i remember reading every stephen king book as they came out (which is why i cant stand him now)...

i also remember the library breaking the book limit for me .. we were allowed 12 books a week .. i was finishing them in a couple of days .. soon they were letting me take out 24.

remember - this was in canada where it's winter 10 months a year, and there was no cable TV, videos, or electronic games.

Don't expect members to comprehend that. Beyond capability. :p

How old is Goosebumps exactly?

Here in Denmark it has existed for about 7 years.

I read a bit of Wells and Haggard. Not as much as Verne though. I think the only Haggard novels I read were She & something about the Khyber river- Up the Khyber or something... you probably know the title.

I grew up in Minnesota, still live here, when it's not winter, it's road construction season, seriously, it's not just a stereo-type.

I loved Stephen King right up until I read Needful Things and he killed Raider. In the book Raider was a little terrier mix, not a big Rottweiler. Not that killing a Rottweiler is better, but in the movie at least the dog presented some kind of a threat. In the book, Leland broke into the house, was scratching little Raider on the tummy and sent a fucking corkscrew through the little white patch on the dog's chest. I never forgave Mr. King for that and haven't read one of his books since. Funny, rip a human's head off = me don't care, drive a corkscrew through a little dog's chest = I fucking hate you.
