I almost gave up watching it a few times towards the end. The repetitive camera angles and watching the male lead stumble around was just getting really fucking annoying.

Dark Places (2015)
Slow crime drama.
I watched this because I (thought) I read it was also horror. But it wasn't.
It was more like watching a made for tv Hallmark movie or something, but with a bigger budget and a good cast.

The Gunman (2015)
Meh...
Could've been a sweet action movie but there's too much drama for my taste.

I didn't mean that wasn't an online abuse, that was indeed an online abuse but they could show a better example of it, particularly regarding the event that lead to her 'online abuse' & the subsequent suicide incident.
When a horror story/film centers around a bullied/victimized character turned vengeful ghost/killer, I think at some point it'd better to provide a better background check/story about that character with better example of turn of events that leads to his/her online abuse...you can make it sympathetic or pure evil by dealing with or revealing his/her deepest secret or fear in a way (where at one point the other characters make fun of it, resulting the abuse) so that we can care or feel for that character. In Unfriended, based on very little info that they revealed, we found the character of Laura Barns was as 'shitty' as her so called friends who later die one by one and we didn't care for any of them actually. Now, this sort of shitty characters may be common for a slasher movie but sometimes at least we get lucky enough to see some gruesome/creative or creepy kills even in those average or below average slasher flicks; but here in Unfriended even the kills were uninteresting or at times stupid.

The Lazarus Effect 2015

A group of medical students discover a way to bring dead patients back to life.

Weak. Story drags on until towards the end and even then its disappointing. Some glaring holes, particularly obvious choices to make the film more 'tense' instead of staying with what would likely happen. Suspension of disbelief stops. The acting was meh, but the characters were also meh. Also needless relationship dynamics that were also overly typical. Effects were meh. The very end makes sense, but I felt like 'so what'?

4/10

Ha, just came here to write about the Lazarus Effect as well!
I agree with pretty much everything you've said about it.
I'd probably give it a 4.5 or 5/10 because I liked the start, thought it was going to be a promising movie, but by the end I was just thinking "finish already!"

I gave that one a 3. It had some nice ideas at first, but it ended up as a stupid PG-13 slasher movie. I didn't even know that was possible.

Crazy Murder, 2014. 6/10

Sick and gory this was. This mentally ill man just roams the streets murdering people and doing disgusting things. I liked it but being I was in hospital a few times, his moans of pain from an unsettled mind was awful to here. I used to here that at night and its painful...you can feel there tortured souls crying out...but anyway..I loved the scene when he meets the girl selling tickets, how he changed cause he was infatuated with her; of coarse the gore was fantastic.

Stung 2015

Basically a wasp infects a bee spawning killer wasps the size of a fist. They in turn make bigger killer wasps using people. A lawn party is the location.

Lance Henrikson is always great, in this meh. The entire thing was less than meh though. The boy wants the girl, she's just his friend, blah blah blah. The two main characters saving each other was the only lightly good thing about it. Not just the heroic guy. Basically its a film for lonely 15 year old straight boys. Which I was definitely one, but even then I doubt I'd enjoy this.
