Thanks Austin. The Anjelica Huston clue gave it away.
Ok here goes :- 1. This is a fairly recent movie, directed by someone who has directed a fairly successful sequel to a blockbuster action movie. 2. This movie is similar to Identity in many respects, but not the plot. 3. One of the actors, who disappears after the first 20 minutes into the movie, has portrayed the role of a comic book hero on-screen. More clues when you ask for em.

Aight the last clue, this movie's plot takes place on an island, and starts off like an exercise by a well-known government agency.
