As for Underground and live again most of what I saw was dissapointing - i imagine the gay/clone/S&M scene being a lot more 'real' but the lack of girls means its of little interest to me.
Definitely true with writing vs. film. I guess that's why I like hentai; I take the situation (you know; five guys on one girl, etc.) and then extrapolate in my head in terms of what they look like, what they're saying, etc. That way I don't have to deal with bad actors or uggos.

...

What are fetish clubs like? Never been to one, but I'm definitely curious... I'm intimidated, though. I'm sure I could find one or two in Boston...

I been to a few different clubs (each on numerous times) but considering my location you can't expect much.

They tend to range from Sleazy (people doing sexual acts somewhat publically and shit like 'darkrooms') to Sceney fashion orientated (more about the rubber clothing than the rubber jonnies :-)...Most have little shows and performers etc.

I'm planning a trip to Torture Dungeon this year (or earlly next) in London. I think that used to be pretty good, but prolly a lot 'trendier' than it used to be. It does have a 'couples room' so it may still be abit more than a fashion show..

There's one in Amsterdamn called either THE COCK PIT or THE COCK RING or some thing similar. That has a now women policy and has theme nights like Tuesday Bootcamp (dress code is Boots - and thats all LOL)

Much easier for chicks.....

I used to wear Pvc pants and a rubber tshirt (i also wore a priests shirt to one too). To be honest thats very conservative - tattoos and stupid haircut/shaved will help..

Goto the Torture garden gallery page..

If you're new to it, wear what you want, don't pretend to be anything but what you are....as you get used to the people and places, your wardrobe (or lack there of) will just progress naturally. Don't be afraid to ask questions from people in the lifestyle.

But...
you can never really go wrong with tight corsets (for you and your boyfriend;) )
