Watched Roth's Green Inferno....pretty mild. Found the body dye very inspiring tho. Also thought the Chop-man in this flick would be a good Halloween costume, really dug his weapon...nice primitive piece.
Plus the priestess in this one kinda reminded me of a gf I usedta have......

Also watched Shamaylan's The Visit...again pretty mild.

Good sci-fi adventure. Kind of Apollo 13 meets Intersteller. Both of which I thought were better.

Intersteller was more interesting and exciting; and Apollo 13 was funner, funnier and more exciting.

10 Cloverfield Lane (2016)

First, this isn't a sequel to Cloverfield nor does it take place in the same universe as Cloverfield, so if you go see this, don't get mad that the Clover monster isn't ripping through the city again. Now that that's out of the way, this is going to be a completely spoiler-free review, unless you don't want to know about, um, character names. But seriously, the less you know about this movie, the better, so I'm not going to give anything away that wasn't in any of the trailers. In 10 Cloverfield Lane, a woman, Michelle, gets in a car accident and wakes up in an underground bunker. Her captor, Howard claims to have saved her life and that everyone outside the bunker is dead. Another man is also in the bunker, named Emmet, and tensions arise between the three as Howard becomes increasingly suspicious, and Emmet and Michelle mount an escape plan. While Cloverfield, was an intense, in-your-face monster flick, 10 Cloverfield Lane is a completely different beast altogether. Instead of the vast area of New York City, this movie takes place in the confines of a doomsday bunker, so the scares come from paranoia and suspense than a giant monster attacking the city. All three cast members are excellent in their roles, especially John Goodman as Howard. His awesomely creepy performance makes this one of his most memorable roles. Mary Elizabeth Winstead and John Galleger Jr. are incredible as well. You may recognize her as Wendy from Final Destination 3. Winstead's character definitely isn't a damsel in destress here; Michelle is crafty and smart like Nancy from A Nightmare on Elm Street. John Galleger Jr. also provides some witty comic relief while also seeming a bit suspicious himself. 10 Cloverfield Lane is a restrained, suspenseful and well-crafted psychological thriller that calls to mind both Misery and The Twilight Zone, and if this anthology series continues, it'll be hard to match the standards set by this and its predecessor.

I saw a film about 10 years ago with the same theme (in doomsday bunker with guy you're sure is telling the truth) with a man and woman, but I can't remember the name. Maybe it was a TV episode... Always an intriguing theme. Not overused yet.

You didn't react to my note on an upcoming WEREWOLF related movie!
Who are you and what have you done to Roiffalo?!

Graveyard Story

I believe it's from '92, but it's filmed so low budget it looks more like a '72. Not a bad story though. A few small plot holes but none bad enough to take you away from the focus. If anything it was mildly annoying at worst. I picked it up at Salvation Army for a buck after reading the back. It's a murder mystery/suspense type, close enough to horror to spark my interest and post about it I think. A man with no children sort of ''adopts'' a dead girl at a graveyard he frequently visits, and becomes curious and concerned about what happened to her when he reads on her stone that she died tragically. So he hires a PI to find the answers. If you're a fan of Colombo or Magnum PI then this might entertain you.

Well holy shit where ARE my priorities! Thank you for pointing that out! I'm not the best multi-tasker.

Anyway you know me. Always up for watching anything lycan! Despite the trailer looking painfully low budget. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J4G0ClUKwtk
It does look nicely suspenseful, and i don't think it gave anything much away, which is rare in trailers these days. But then again it is from like... 2-3 years ago?

I always feel shame when I'm shown or asked about werewolf movies and it ends up being one I haven't seen. But honestly, if I wasn't recommended or asked about something new to me, then I would feel like I'm wasting my time here. So thanks, Baron.

The Other Side of the Door

I liked it. It was an original story, the acting was decent (the little girl creeped me out). My only complaint would be not enough Jeremy Sisto.

Hopefully you can remember so I can look it up. I'd like to see it if it was any good.
