Come on, it's weeks ago we can laugh at it now.

![]() When a Stranger Calls (2006) Not nearly as bad as I expected, but still very mediocre. Excluding the original's brilliant opening scene, it's not much better or worse than the original. Obvious score, dumb jump scares and very cliched. Pretty much your average 2000's teen horror flick.

"The Bronze" 5/10
I was surprised to see this was made by a total rookie as it felt like a comedy made by one of the veterans in the business. That being said, The Bronze will probably only be remembered for its weird (and graphic?) athletic sex scene. Except for a promising intro this movie didn't deliver.

Yeah the original had a horrible middle section and a great opening and good ending. This one was consistently meh. It would have been good if they got rid of all those horrible jump scares.

Saw The Neon Demon a few weeks ago.
It's a really great and unique horror movie in my opinion. It was very atmospheric and beautiful. Far from a traditional horror movie. At times it reminded me of Black Swan. Its not for everybody but I loved it. 4/5 |

![]() Traders I.M.D.B. What if it made perfect sense for ordinary people to kill each other for money? Better than slow grinding financial ruin and misery, and all done according to a strict code by consenting adults. This is Trading. A good performance by John Bradley keeps it interesting, but the movie never goes beyond it's initial concept, and the persistent deadpan acting from Killian Scott takes away gravitas from the situations. 6/10

![]() Road Games I.M.D.B. The sun drenched days of summer turn dark and ominous for hitchhiking duo Jack and Véronique when they become inexplicably entangled with a mysterious married couple and a local road kill collector in rural France. A suspenseful build-up where intriguing characters act peculiarly with dialogue that encourages the viewer to speculate what's really going on, but results in an ultimately unsatisfying third act. Joséphine de La Baume is hot though. Worth a watch? Uhm...I can't really recommend it, but I enjoyed watching it. 7/10

![]() Hard Candy I.M.D.B. A teenage girl raids a man's home in order to expose him under suspicion that he is a sex offender with pedophilia. Pretty well written with strong performances by the leads. Although I enjoyed watching it, I felt it lacked a certain punch. It could have been a lot darker, but instead the subject matter was portrayed so invisibly (that is to say, completely off screen and vaguely referenced to the point of confusion), that it didn't stir enough emotion within me to care about the characters. 7/10
