Fantastic show, one of my favourites, AMC has outdone itself again, caught a quick glance at a season 3 preview, the prison is going to be intense, and if they even go close to the comic series in this season, I hope they end up adding the govenor into the show, he was a wicked villain. :)

This is my favorite show as well, in fact, this is the only show in which I own the DVD sets. I've enjoyed the pacing of seasons 1 & 2, and have defended it to anyone who has made the claim that it moves too slowly or that it is too much like a soap opera. My defense has always been that the relationships between the well acted characters and their extremely well written dialogue makes the action sequences pay off that much more. My wife and I enjoy analyzing the differences between the comics (which we also read) and the show. Just watched the featurettes on the newly acquired season 2 set and I can't recommend it enough. The only featurette I found to be unnecessary is the last one concerning the extras wardrobe, all the other featurettes were very interesting and entertaining. Can't wait for season 3!

Great start for season 3.
Quick pace, better writing, and a no nonsense approach. So far so good.

Yes, I really enjoyed the opening episode to season 3. It's amazing how this show just seems to get better and better. It's not like it was a garbage show in season 1 and has just improved. This show has been excellent, in my opinion, from the very beginning. My wife also became hooked on it and she's not even really a big fan of zombie movies, so that should say something to how great this show is. The pacing and the story was just different in season 1 and season 2, but still of great quality. I think the tempo and the theme of each season has a lot to do with how the script writers approach it.

Yea I like it well enough. definitely things i'd improve if it was up to me, but it's a TV show; and with a show like this you have to maintain a certain level of a suspension of disbelief - or you'll find it hard to enjoy much of anything.

I don't have any issues with the storyline for the most part. It is what it is... and i'm just along for the ride. What I do have issues with is detail.

Fingers hanging through fences in close proximity to walkers... the haphazardly way zombie blood flies and splashes around during a kill, but early on in the show they emphasized the idea that they should be properly protected by being well covered.... things like that.

Overall though I like the show, most of the characters, most of the story.
Season 2 had twice the episodes done on only half of the budget of season 1, and it showed. Bogged down storyline, and way too much whining and bitching going on. So far this season has started off better. See if it holds up.

Sometimes somebody'll point stuff like that out on The Talking Dead, but never seems like anybody makes the effort in future endeavors to fix the flaws.

I just started watching this show, I'm on season 1 ,fifth chapter... I started watching it last week because one of my friends insisted me to watch it. But it really grinds my gears to see zombies climbing fences and stuff... Does the show gets any better?

Someone told me 3rd season just started and it's great, I don't want to judge it because I've only seen 5 episodes.....five "slow and kinda lame in some parts" episodes....so does it gets better?

If you're not hooked by the first five episodes, you might as well forget it. You're not going to like the rest. It started out strong and was rightly hailed as a landmark in horror on television, and possibly one of the most original zombie stories to grace either the big or small screen.
