Halloween Horror Nights - Eyegore Awards Red Carpet

It's that time of year again, and Horror.com was there on the red carpet for the launch of Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights 2010-style! The event has grown exponentially (like The Blob... though Rob Zombie won't be directing that remake after all)... we remember when there were only six crews on the carpet and the party inside was totally mingleable. Now, it's like Saw 3D -- bigger, better, and bloodier! (Yep, that's about all we learned about Saw 3D from those too well-trained mum actors.)

It's the titans of terror! From left to right, we have SID HAIG, TOBE HOOPER [foreground], The Last Exorcism's PATRICK FABIAN, Saw 3D's BETSY RUSSELL, and ELI ROTH (who was later presented with an Eyegore Award by Mr. Hooper).

The latest and greatest "Jason Voorhees" DEREK MEARS and Horror.com's Staci Layne Wilson. MEARS talked a little bit about his big role in the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean movie (he's been shooting on location for months!) as well as a funny little story about what's like to go through these horror mazes when you're a big, scary guy.

SAW 3D's Tanedra Howard told us about life after Scream Queens (she won the Season One competition), as well as the two plays she's currently acting in. Busy girl!

SID HAIG and his wife, SUSAN OBERG. Sid's finding there's a second life in ROGER CORMAN films, what with a spate of the old classics coming out on DVD this year (many making their home entertainment debuts). Next up, we'll see HAIG in a movie called Blood Is Blood.

ROB ZOMBIE stopped by to talk with us about the newly-revamped House of 1000 Corpses scary maze and haunted house, as well as a little rundown on his just-announced Salem witches movie, set in period and called THE LORDS OF SALEM.
