Your favorite "made for TV movies".

Or mini-series.

Well, what are your favorite(s)?
"It"?
"Roots"?
Discuss!

scared the shit out of me as a kid.

on a related note :

the two Nightstalker movies.

all quality TV movies that are (in my opinion) unmatched.

I have never watched The Norliss Tapes, but I will agree that the Nightstalker movies were great. I would have went to the theater to watch them... had they been show in a theater and had I been born sooner. There are so many made for tv movies and series out there, I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite but I could safely say that on the top of my list is the 1981 "The Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy".

"It" sucked.

"The Langoliers" was a good made-for-TV deal, but was only as good as the novella I guess. It follows it very closely.

i LOVED nightstalker - kolchak rocked

didn't that 'gargoyle' movie set out in the desert come out on tv in the 70s- i remember really liking that as a kid

never heard of norliss tapes but will have to check it out

of the more recent stuff - i thought The Stand started out pretty good (though it should have been big-budget and on HBO or Showtime)
