Cronenberg's movies are some of the most creative, intense and well thought out sci fi/horror pics in history. Videodrome, The Brood and the Dead Zone are fantastic. Unlike half the civilized world, I prefer Existenz to the Matrix.

I haven't seen very many of them, but I do love Videodrome. That was one of those flicks where I had to go out and buy it the day after last seeing it.

The Fly is one of his best. I prefer his stories than his way of directing movies.
