Poltergeist: The Legacy

If you haven't heard of this show and are cliche track minded like myself, rest assured it is NOT related to the classic 1982 movie (-sigh- or the remake).

"The Legacy" is a secret society that began many centuries ago to accumulate knowledge and artifacts to help fight against the evil in the world. This particular Legacy team is set in San Francisco in a castle-like house on Angel Island. Dr. Derek Rayne heads up the team comprised of psychiatrist, Rachel Corrigan; priest, Philip C.; ex-Navy SEAL, Nick Boyle; and researcher/psychic Alex Moreau.

I found the first season of this odd little show in a $5 bin at a Dollar Store. It didn't seem like a bad price and the summary sounded interesting. I've binged several episodes since and rather enjoy it for all it's cheesy effects. Sure wish I didn't misplace it so I could finish watching it...

Anyone seen it? Thoughts? I realize it's been around for a while so it's probably more well known than I think it is.
**please avoid spoilers**

I vaguely remember it, but I wasn't watching much tv in those years. It seems like each episode is a one off using the same characters. Like how Friday the 13th:The Series and the X-files(mostly) were. Is that what its been like so far in what you've watched?

I acquired this show (well only the first season) for a couple dollars from a pawn shop a few months ago, I will have to give it a watch at some point. I originally thought it was some kind of documentary on the films, but then read it and discovered it was not. It at least sounded interesting.

Not sure. I haven't watched the Fri13th series or X-Files, but it sounds like what you described from the few episodes I've seen. Kind of like a Ghostbusters series. I think I was on episode eight or so before I misplaced it.

I had thought so too when I first found it. It's an interesting show. You'll enjoy it if you like simple effects, supernatural villains, and a bit of drama. ...I'm probably not setting it up very good but at least try it.

Sorry to resurrect an older thread.

I found this on Hulu, and binged watched it for several days while working at my desk (background noise). I think the series was extremely hit and miss. There were several episodes I loved (The first episode, the bed and breakfast episode among others) and then some that I disliked, especially nearer the end of the series.

No worries, friend! We love seeing people participate no matter how old the topic as long as it's still relevant. 8)

Since I last posted here I actually found my first season. I'll have to finish it sometime and get back to this.
