help me shortlist please

okay, so i'm down to these movies unwatched in my collection and for me this as low as its gotten in months; azumi 2, stendhal syndrome, demons 2, ring o, deep red, audition and spider forest. so, i'm gonna bulk up my collection with some of these titles and was hoping to get some feedback; abominable dr. phibes, the bat, the last man on earth, onibaba, the untold story, shutter, dark water, high tension and kaidan.
so feel free to recommend one that i have in stock for tonights viewing and to recommend one or more of the hot prospects. thanks!:) :) :)

Demons 2 & Deep Red are imperative to be watched first.

abominable dr. phibes - great classic creepy movie. Must-buy.

the bat - Genuinely creepy. Must-buy too.

the last man on earth - The claustrophobia in this movie is unparalleled. You may find it a tad slow in the beginning. Rent it, then decide if you wanna buy it or not.

onibaba - Great movie. Its one of the best asian movies I ve seen. Rent it first though...its a bizarre tale.

the untold story - watch it first, then decide.

shutter - genuinely frightening and deeply engrossing. Must-buy.

dark water - if you mean the jap one, good. Rent it first though. If its the US one, skip it...its totally lame.

high tension - Aja's masterpiece. Has 1-2 plotholes and a really unbelievable climax...suggestion, rent first, then decide upon buying.

kaidan - Like onibaba, one of the best in asian cinema. Pure gold and genius at work. Must-buy.

Personally I wouldn't buy High Tension until you've seen it. I am one that disliked it, started out great, but I couldn't get past the plotholes. Abominable Dr. Phibes, The Bat, and Last Man on Earth are pretty good bets, I think.

To be watched as soon as possible: Deep Red and Audition. :)

just finished audition. 8/10. really sorry i let it gather dust on my shelf for the last two months. i do have to say that the violence isn't as bad as i anticipated. this is a lot more than just the last intense 20 mins of a movie. its a really well told fucked up story.

Definitely grab Phibes. Last Man on Earth and the Bat are on any number of movie collections, so you should grab the big sets for 20 bucks and get them along with 40 some odd other movies. Kaidan should probably be rented first, since it's not really everybody's bag.
