Best horror movie! ever shot on hvx Film Final

Hey guys this is my 1st semester film final for the high school i go to. We were required in three weeks to write, shoot, edit the opening sequence to a feature film. Here is what I turned in:

DISAPPEARANCE

The whole shoot took about 14 hours and about a week in post. We edited with Final Cut Pro and Soundtrack. This was also shot on a HVX200.

The dolly shots near the end were achieved by using my homemade dolly which I build out of pvc pipes, allunimum and skate wheels.

Fun fact i am allergic to cats and the house we shot in well had about 13 cats and 4 dogs so 14 hours filming felt like a lifetime and then some. O we also got the cops called on us when we were filming the outdoor shots cause of the costumes we had on haha.

Any more questions feel free to ask. Besides that tell me what you guys think about it and leave comments below or on my youtube channel thanks much! =)

Best horror movie ever?

Never a good idea to oversell your work like that. It's not scary, but good job. The editing and camera work are strong. The story is a bit lacking. Keep at it.

Overall, I'll give it a good.

The exposition it too obvious- "So what are we doing?" .. "We're hired to pick up something from this house" ... Just SHOW US- fill us in later on what's going on. It's far more intriguing and mysterious if we don't know what's going on.

Some of these guys aren't wearing gloves. HELLO?

Too much with the hand held camera already- get a tripod and learn how to setup effective shots.

Nice beginning but could be better.

Agreed. Plus it looks like there could be work on lighting. Even when you want darkness, there needs to be some lighting setup. If there was, I couldn't tell.
