Bridgend 2015

A policeman and his teen daughter move to a new town where he investigates a cluster of suicides.

Bit slow pace-wise and low on the dialogue.

Man in the lake was a fun bit of fan fiction. It sets up well and adds the necessary bit of fan service.

You can watch it for free on Youtube.

Thumbs down

Extremity (2018)
7/10

Wrong Turn (2003)
4/10

Problem with each of these movies imo is that, even though the separate parts (say beginning, middle, end) make sense and are enjoyable, the plot as a whole gives us too little to reflect on. To me a good horror movie is one I think back to on the next day. Extremity has nothing to add to Hostel, and Wrong Turn has nothing to add to The Hills have Eyes. What Extremity does have though is style.

Side note: in Wrong Turn we see a total of five people make seemingly dangerous falls and none of them get hurt by that. Impressive.

The Last Radio Call 2021

A widow desperately tries to find out what happened to her husband, a police officer who went missing while on a call to an abandoned hospital.

It was ok.

I know what you mean, I was mildly entertained by Wrong Turn, some scenes. As I recall, a lot of the time it just kind of irked me. Like the interactions in the family were just awful and it wasn't funny, not to me. By the time I got to the ending, I just wasn't on board.
