Dr Satan - Hallucination in House?/Erased from TDR

The character of DR SATAN was originally written into The Devil's Rejects, (They even filmed the scenes). BUTTT it never saw the light of day. Does anyone know how the good ol doctor was going to fit in with the story?

Rob said that it would have taken away from the feel of the movie..and i agree..but by that logic, they should have taken away tiny also. Or if not take him away, at least make his face realistic..the face of tiny was crappy...it should have been more of a realistic burn victim.

Also, Alot of people say that HO1K sucked because of the ending. I agree that the ending defintily took away the vibe the whole movie setup (would have been nice if rob zombie made the legend of dr satan a myth..made up by the fireflies..a story of grandpas..or something)....

but anyway...many people say that the ending with dr satan and the cavern is all a hallucination.....IFFF thats the case, the movie would make perfect sense(would have been cool if there was a scene with the fireflies drugging the girl)...that way we KNOW she is hallucinating. ...that way when the movie ends and she makes it out og the cavern..it makes sense for Otis and Spauliding to be waiting there to kill her...

leading into TDR.

Have you read any of Spookshow International?? It was kind of a "not so good" comic Rob Zombie put out. Had some stories in there about Dr. Satan although nothing that was memorable.

I think that maybe a Dr. Satan film may be in the works but that is just my speculation.

This was one of the few times that a sequel was better than the original.

I will have to agree with Rob's decision not to include the Dr. Satan scenes.Like the first movie, it put the whole feel into a different realm.
TDR stands on its own as is. More of a Last House on the Left feel to it IMO.

Yeah, TDR was brilliant.

But..what do u think about what i wrote in the first post. About the hallucination theory..and the absense of the dr in th sequel. How was he written into the script?

i hope they have those scenes in the dvd.

The hallucination theory is workable, but with all the criticism Rob took for the movie, particularly the ending, perhaps he wanted to distance himself from the Dr. Satan angle.

God am I the only one who loved the Dr Satan scenes..? I thought it was super freaky. The whole movie in general for me was spectacular ..her is why. . . if someone was to record one of my typical nightmares it would breakdown just like this movie. I loved the movie because I felt like I was seeing one of my nightmares on film..this is everyones wish right?

I have a script of the 1000 corpses it says Grandpa is actually Dr. Satan. Dr. Satan's goal was to make superhumans/creatures. So there for the "Dr. Satan" that we seen was his ultimate masterpeice.
