What would I get banned for? Posting a "hello" on the forum? I'm not a forum noob, I know how new members get treated.

Actually, everyone has been really nice to me and I haven't been around here that long (no, that is NOT an invitation to start torturing me, well, I mean, ahh, never mind that's sick).

Anyway it COULD be the magazine connection, makes people wary. Time will tell I guess. Welcome if you're for real.

Why would it make people wary that I run a horror themed online magazine? I can respect people's opinions but I didn't come here to advertise, I came here because like I said, I wanted to be a part of an interesting horror community that I have lurked on for a long time now. I guess I just won't post about my magazine's contests on here anymore. I thought that maybe horror forum members would appreciate receiving free horror movie promos. That's all.
