I'll TOTALLY agree with this...

But, Cannibal Holocaust was more of a 'twisted porno' (WAY too much sex, not NEARLY enough cannibalism...Should have been called 'Slightly Cannibalistic Savage Orgy')...And Cannibal Ferox isn't any better...

Devil's Experiment didn't even have any nudity, or much of anything else

No problem...BTW, how long ago did you watch the Guinea Pig series?...I ask because when I first watched Gore, Gore Girls (about 15 years ago) it was pretty gruesome and gory to me when nothing else was, but when I watched it again (in the past year), it seemed pretty tame...

Maybe it has a lot to do with all that we see in comparison, over time

Hmm, but now that I think of it, there are at least two scenes in Gore, Gore Girls that I distinctly remember seeing the first time, that I don't remember seeing this time...Maybe my copy (from the Herschell Gordon Lewis boxed set) isn't the full version, or maybe I just wasn't paying very close attention (because the dialogue really is extremely lame, I like Lewis for the 'visuals')...Now I gotta look into that

I was just meaning The Devil's Expirment had a porno for sadists kinda feel. Chas Balun wrote a pretty good article on it.
There's always been a rumour going round it was originally made as a "Pink" film.

I think this is the site I was thinking off with some pretty good stuff on the series and might give a bit of a insight into what the big deal is:

i wathced the guinea pig series probably around this time last year, or least most of the series. it was hard enough to watch the first time i cant wait for the second go-round. H.G. Lewis always has terrrible dialog.
