CHALLENGE #10 OF HDC BATTLE ROYALE


I welcome both groups - The HDC Machetes and The HDC Witchblades - to your TENTH Battle Royale Challenge.


All of you are required to solve me some of these riddles :

01) Unscramble - ng ah ve th lw at lo si sa ea rt ay sy ou.

02) Decapitate me and all becomes equal. Then truncate me and I become second. Cut me front and back and I become two less than I started. What am I?

03) A man lies dead in front of his house. Around him are: a hammer and some nails, a full container of nitroglycerin, and a crimson fish. What happened?

04) Unscramble - der ave ifi ndt eem iwo hat the luc rkt har ore kis toh hem.

05) I live above a star, and yet I never burn,
I have eleven neighbors, and yet none of them turn,
I am visited in sequence, first, last or in between,
Now, tell me what I mean?

06) A man hijacks an aeroplane transporting both passengers and valuable cargo. After taking the cargo, the man demands two parachutes, puts one of them on, and jumps, leaving the other behind. Why did he want two?

There are 360 points up for grabs in the above challenge.

The deadline for sending your entries ends on Sunday, 20th April at Noon EST.

You may either send me your entries via PMs, or you may email me at [email protected], mentioning your HDC Nick in the Subject alongwith the Challenge number, for e.g., "__V__ - HDC Battle Royale Challenge #10 Answers."

You can confer with the other members of your new groups about the answers, but EACH CONTESTANT IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT THEIR OWN ENTRIES.


The group which scores the maximum points wins. In case of a tie, whichever group scored their points first WILL win.

THE LOSING GROUP WILL FACE THE VERY BRUTAL PENALTY.


Also, ONLY THE FIRST ENTRY (per contestant) WILL BE OFFICIALLY COUNTED, and any subsequent ones will be scratched!
