Michael Clayton: Excellent. great performances, great ending.
The Painted Veil: Naomi Watts and Edward Norton, Again, great acting, good movie. Happily Ne'er after: Sigh.... It had Andy Dick in the cast, do i really need to elaborate? I will anyway. I had never heard anythign good about it, but figured it might be at least so-so... Man, Pixar set the bar way to high when they introduced cgi only movies. this thing SUCKED. Sigourney weaver sounded like she just showed up and belted out her lines, Sarah Micjelle Gellar and Freddy Prinze Jr have all the voice charisma of a toad that has been run over by a car, and Andy Dick is, well, Andy Dick. hearin ghim is jarring and pulls you out of whatever fantasy they might have created on the screen. On the other hand, it reminded me of the ass-whupping john lovitts put on him last year, and that brought a smile to my face :) |

Slipstream- I was expecting amazing things from this Anthony Hopkins flick...I had to stop in the middle or my brain would explode from the flicker scene over scene BS.
Two Thumbs and middle fingers Down:eek: Broken English- I was expecting to hate this movie and found myself pulled into Nora's world completely and felt every nervous bravado and small breakdown and didn't want to leave when she finally ended up in Paris with a great love or at the very least an interesting love. This film slowly moves the soul without pulling the emotional blackmail strings most indie dramas like to shove at us. Parker Posey once again proves why she is one of my favorite actors':) |
