Looking for a seriously terrifying book??
Hello (:
I am looking for a really terrifying book. I don't scare easily, so it has to be something that makes you want to lock the book away in a wardrobe or something. I'm not really into "normal" horror. And by "normal" I mean like a deranged killer with 4 eyes who carries a knife around. I much more prefer a ghost or unexplainable "thing" scaring the hell out of people. I love twists in a story. I was thinking about buying "The Lady in Black", I heard it's really scary? In addition to all my awkward preferences, I prefer a horror where not too much violence takes place, but people being tormented by a scary presence etc. Sorry for being so awkward, but I'm desperate for a scary book (: Thanks in advance! |

Have you read Oates' Accursed Inhabitants of the House of Bly?

If you like things in the vein of Haunting of Hill House, I'd like to recommend my friend and colleague Gina Ranalli's book House of Fallen Trees:
