I liked Hostel as well. Even liked Hostel 2.

Real exploitation films? Yes. Wannabe-shockers with no other message than 'Europeans are weird lol' and cheap nudity in almost every shot just to keep the audience from falling asleep? Yes, I did once. Never again.
While I love boobs and blood buckets as much as the next guy, this just felt misdirected. The first half of the film is almost comical with the American Pie-ish guys desperate to get laid, it's like some silly college flick. And then all of a sudden things get so dark and sordid and there's a basement and some blood and oh isn't that the guy from the train and then somehow escaping this madness with Ms. Technicolor Ju-on in tow and then... ..the ending. The ending which was supposed to be 'a shocking unexpected twist' where the main character becomes a product of a sick environment and goes from all American goody to vengeful gore master. It's so friggin' predictable that I almost laughed. So there you have it, albeit a bit short and in an auxiliary language. |

So we're going to see Eli Roth Presents platered over everything now? Still this looks interesting enough and I'll more than likely check it out.
I'm honestly still waiting on Roth to deliver on all of the hype surrounding him. I found Hostel pretty forgettable especially seeing as 90% of recent horror flicks follow this exact formula (Wolf Creek, Eden Lake et all) and it's like the same movie over and over again. Plus the characters were really unlikeable. I found the Hostel Part II more interesting tbh although it's ending was rushed and kinda killed it. |

Wierd concept for a film but it is an original one so ill it give it that. Seems like Clownhouse meets The Stepfather. Bet the producers wish that WAS the trailer for it. Chances are thiers wont be as scary.

What? Seriously? That looked terrible. Might be passable if it was ironic, much like his Thanksgiving, but it just looks... laughable. Or IS it supposed to be ironic and I'm just not getting it? |

I think it's a new way of sharing an idea...today perhaps some studios/producers haven't got time to see/judge the potential of a concept/story through their imagination while reading it/the script.
