LOL! :D I also couldn't help laughing at the list of just some of all the horrible problems caused by watching horror movies... If you add enough issues to a list like that, you're guaranteed that pretty much anyone reading it will have at least a few of them.

Dear, oh dear!
I'm a sinner because I love watching horror, I let evil spirits in because I watch horror! I have never heard such utter nonsense! I know everyone is entitled to their belief, and it is exactly that, THEIR belief. How can you possibly justify pushing it onto other people? Why don't we flip it? You are a sinner because you don't appreciate horror! You let evil in because you don't watch horror! It's the same old story, like how they used to blame video games for people stealing cars and running down people! It's utter bullshit! People do these things because they are possibly mentally unhinged, not because they played Grand Theft Auto! How can I be evil because I watch horror! I saved a wasp from drowning the other day!! |

This is one of the most hilarious forum posts I've seen in a long time.
Let's totally forget that current Christian dogma is a result of centuries of misinterpretation, extrapolition, indoctrination, fear mongering and outright lies. The number of vibrant and enlightened societies that have been crushed, snuffed out and killed by the so called "adherers to the Light of the World" that to take something like Christianity seriously is insanely foolish. Like Metter said, Horror films and other forms of horror are ways of speaking out against the attrocities we see today in the world, as well as a way to sublimate our natural proclivity for violence and our baser natures. Not to mention that a number of films that you would call immoral or demonically influenced are alot deeper than you and your ilk would give them credit for. Cannibal Holocaust? On the surface it would seem repugnant and reprehensible, but take a moment, just a moment, to scratch the surface and you'll see it as a very poignant and effective statement on the way that the media is manipulated and turned into pornography for the sake of ratings and bending peoples perspectives to suit and agenda. The Exorcist as well, is at its heart a really moral story, a Christian parable, if you would believe it. William Freidkin himself stated that he saw it as a moral and informed piece of art. So before you allow people to stuff this bullshit down your throat and indoctrinate and assimilate you into their archaic and antiquated philosophies why don't you use the brain that your supposed God gave you and actually inject some critical thinking into issues before you jump out and judge people for things that y ou clearly don't understand. Okay, I'm done.

First post on here - hi guys.
Some pretty special trolling there from the OP. I can't imagine she'd be too keen on the film I've just made... (AfterDeath: first trailer up today - woop!) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1pQScWzN_U |
