Brilliant - as always Zomb! -

My preference shifts with the weather - in warmer weather I prefer Labatt Blue Light - Crisp & refreshing! In colder weather (i.e. NOW) I like thicker beers - I quite like Sarnac's Black and Tan but even their Amber has a good warm tone to it.

On the odd occassion I drink Guinness - which I like but, to be perfectly honest, it tends to give me horrible flatulence (loud and stinky!).

There also used to be a great regional beer called Ithaca Amber, but it seems to have gone out of production. Ahh well.

What I hate are most American mass-manufactured beers (coors, whose politics I also loathe). Call me a snob

(in UK, for our brit friends, I was always partial to Bitter and used to really like Brains from Cardiff)

Miller is a very tasty cheap beer. Guiness Stout is also good. And there is a Tahitian beer called Hinano that is gooood on a hot day.

I had a great Czech beer called, but not to be mistaken with, "BudWeiser" - when I had it in Prague it was amazing. . . but then I found it in the US and it didn't taste as good. I assume this had something to do with US bottling regulations (or maybe just the travel time)

Nice thread.........best thread i've ever seen.

When i was a young beer noob i drank mostly Budweiser.I found it clean, refreshing and most importantly...consistent. While all my friends drank Miller i stuck by my Bud.Then about 8 to 10 years ago, i found micro-brews. "What have i been missing"...i thought to myself. It opened up a whole new world of beer drinking to me.

Now that i'm older i don't drink half as much [ gotta watch the waist-line...and the liver,as zero pointed out ] but every weekend i will treat myself to a fine brew.
Some of my favs

My avatar...Arrogant Bastard Ale
Long Trail Double Bag Ale
Sam Adams Winter Lager [seasonal]
Sam Adams Octoberfest [seasonal ]
Dog Fish Head 60 minute Ale
Dog Fish Head 90 minute Ale [a bit stronger]
Gritty's Christmas Ale [seasonal ]
Bear Republic-Hop Rod Rye Ale
Three Floyds-Robert The Bruce Scottish Ale
Sierra Celebration Ale [seasonal]
Bear Republic- Racer 5 IPA

On occasion i will also indulge in some Becks or Harpoons

and once again.....i'm thirsty.....thanks a bunch zombi:mad:

I haven't had very many types of beer, being under 21 and all. But there will always be a soft spot in my heart for Bud Light.

I enjoy microbrews, but lots of times I end up drinking shit b/c it's cheap and I like gettin fucked up. I drink the cheapest they got when in bars (usually) b/c the beer I like the taste of is usually like $3 apiece and up.

I guess my favorite stuff would be:
Anchor (anything. Porter, Steam, etc.)
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale
Beamish
Murphy's (red and stout)
Old Peculier
Guinness (only in the tall cans with the widget)

I guess none of these are really "microbrews," but we don't get a lot of selection down here in the deep. I can drink pretty much anything. From Schlitz (in the brown can, not the malt liquor) to PBR, from Natural Light to the Beast, I can down em all with equal fervor.
