Cool Another DeepDiscount DVD sale.

Lotsa Lions Gate films, all up to 46% off. They've got a good horror selection. I'm tempted to spend a lot, but I'm going to get American Psycho & Audition at least.

Is American Pyscho a movie you're gonna watch very often? I'm thinking of getting rid of my copy. I prefer the book. The movie just didn't get it..... get the book and a copy of Maniac (or Deranged or Henry: Portrait) instead its money better spent.

I have the book. I usually read it about once a year. I dug the movie (huge Christian Bale fan.) I don't think Henry or Maniac are LionsGate films, though. The reason I was all up on it was because of the sale.

I LOVE AMERICAN PSYCHO.
Both the movie and the book.

IMO, the movie played it safe. If they added in all the extra gore that was included in the book, it would have taken away from the overal psychological aspect. People would think of it as a snuff film (the book is extremely gory).

Anywayz. I was wondering.
What does the "uncut" version have that the original does not?

Very little. I saw the original version for the first time not long after seeing the uncut version for the first time, and I really didnt notice much at all. Maybe some scenes were a bit longer, might have showed a tiny bit more, but there was nothing really new.

A scene which depicted a three-way sexual encounter between the lead character Christian Bale and two prostitutes about 20 seconds of footage is re-instated

If they'd have put too much of the book into the film they wouldn't have been able to show to anybody.
