Strange...
My dvd burner doubles as a player of both dvds and cds, and autoplays both...yet for some reason since last night, it won't recognise CDs...yet it still plays and burns dvds fine.
It just won't register the CDs at all, even when I try and use burning applications. Any ideas? Is the thing just fucked?

You never know, you could do like me and let the problem fix itself. My computer and electronics do stupid stuff like that all of the time. Wait it out for a week or so, they may fix themselves, if not, then go and buy another.
