Holiday Nostalgia - Missing Friends
Well its the holidays and the time of year when I always get maudlin and start thinking about the past (this may have more to do with excessive drinking than the holidays but so be it).
So, I wanted to start a thread (yes - ANOTHER THREAD) about those former HDCers who we're missing at this time of year. I would have started with Pinkfloyd - but as she's back I guess I can't miss her (though she could be around more often!!). I guess my top two would be IA75 (I was remembering our periodic duels to the death - ahh memories) and Urgeok (who stubbornly refuses to return). Moonlit Meadow was always one of my favorite people - but she's gone too. Oh well - here's the place to sip too much egg nog and blubber about all the folks we miss :(

personally i think the problem with HDC is that good people have drifted out and - with some exceptions - haven't been replaced by people with the same levels of knowledge, passion, humor and good will
i like a lot of the newer posters - hell i don't really dislike anyone - but its really a matter of the newer folks just not having the same espirt de corpse - so to speak. i remember coming on here for hours and posting in the stream of consciousness thread and a bunch of people just riffing off of each other and it didn't get stupid or mean or filthy or demeaning. that was the time on HDC that i still cherish and probably the reason i keep coming back - the vague hope that it will be like that again someday. oh well - crabbie is right - i'm drunk again and probalby shouldn't be - or at least shouldn't be posting when i'm depressed and drunk (at 7:30 no less) but that's how i feel

I do miss Moonlit Meadow a lot, even though I still get to annoy her on a regular basis elsewhere, ;) I definitely miss her posts here. She certainly had part in making this a fun place for me to visit. You hear that Moonlit Meadow, if you are lurking about, come back to HDC, you're missed......:(
And then there is my RollinLights, who never visits, but he's busy keeping me happy, which I assure you all is another full time job....haha.

While we do have some great new posters [ by "new" i'm talking in the last year or so] I do miss the fun of the "old" days. There were afternoons in work that would fly by, busting balls with urgeok,vodstok,bloodrayne,shanks,ia75,____v____.. hell even zwoti would join in a bit.
I ain't given up on the forum....hell its only a click away.
