A planned haunted house has been prevented from opening until the organizers get an adult entertainment permit from the city.

Racy scenes to be included in "Mall of the Dead"  included two women kissing, the simulated cutting of a man's genitals, and a Dominatrix whipping a man on a leash. Organizers feel the whole event is nothing but good, clean adult fun.

The Wentzville police disagree, and have banned the attraction opening until a special adult permit is obtained from the city. City administrator Andy McCown also alleges that the "Mall of the Dead" has not addressed safety violations - and that, not the content of the show, would prevent the Mall from opening. Kemper responded that all safety issues have been taken care of, and that the city just didn't like the Mall's show.

"If it were a movie, it would be rated PG-13," says Dean Kemper, the Mall's spokesperson. No simulated or actual sex is taking place, he points out. Also, all those participating in any sexually suggestive scenes had to be over 18, and any under 18 workers in the Mall were required to get a consent form signed by their parent or guardian.

"The Mall of the Dead" is a 200,000 square feet, 16-room haunted house planned about 40 miles out of St. Louis.
