With titles like Vaginal Holocaust and Caged Lesbos A-Go-Go, horror film director Creep Creepersin isn't trying to pull the wool over anyone's eyes. But some of his existing fans might be a little surprised by the upcoming Brothers Cannibal — a movie Creepersin describes as his "least bloody" to date.

Brothers Cannibal marks the film acting debut of Buz Wallick [pictured] (formerly with HDC friend site DreadCentral.com, and now a working cinematographer). He's one of the title characters. "I play Mark Pollack, the younger, douchier (yet lovable) brother of Mike, who's played by Matt Turek."

Staci Layne Wilson / Horror.com: I find it hard to believe you haven't done any acting before.

Buz Wallick: Yep. This was my first time being in front of the camera. I usually work in the camera department and I actually was the cinematographer on one of Creep's previous films. I guess he thought I was funny and wacky enough so he wrote me the role of Mark. To be honest, while we were shooting this I kept watching everyone moving equipment and hauling stuff around, and I just laughed to myself and said, 'I don't have to do that!' It kind of made me giddy.

SLW: Miz Elissa, clearly you are not a 'brother' — so who are you in Brothers Cannibal?

Elissa Dowling: I play The Woman Who is Full of Mystery. My character is full of mystery. It's a pretty cool role. I'm like this junkie who is escaping something, but you don't know what. For most of the movie I'm not even actually alive.

SLW: Oh, that's intriguing… so are you like a zombie? Or are you a corpse?

ED: Can't say! But it's the cool part is that it's not all that long in terms of dialogue. I work mostly with Matt Turek, he plays my other half. There is a part where it's sort of a dual character, and you'll see that when you see the film.

BW: My character is kind of like me, but also, randomly, Walter from The Big Lebowski. And he dresses like Ali G!

SLW: Cree P, I understand you and Elissa have worked together several times. How did you guys first meet, and how has she evolved as an actress in the time that you've known her?

Creep Creepersin: I think this, Brothers Cannibal, is 8. The 8th time we worked together. I met Elissa in the casting for the infamous, O.C. Babes and the Slasher of Zombietown. She came in (we had the casting at my house) and I didn't really know much about her. The producer on the other hand, was super geeked that she came in and was really pushing me to snag her up. I was on the fence at first and the part that she played in that film, Madison, was supposed to go to Natasha Talonz who starred in Vaginal Holocaust. Natasha couldn't make the film and at the table read Elissa showed up and was such a bitch she got the part of the bitch in the film. Elissa knew what she was doing. She came in as the character and in doing so, left with the part.

As far as her evolving, I can pretty much guarantee, that The Woman Who is Full of Mystery in Brothers Cannibal is her best performance ever. This will definitely be one that she is remembered for. I'm not sure if I know how she has evolved as an actress since I first worked with her. I think she has probably always had "it" but I know that this is the role that shows that she has "it".

SLW: On the other hand, this is Buz Wallick's first acting job -- what about him surprised you, versus any expectations you might have had?

CC: This is kinda weird because I wrote the part with Buz in mind. But, you never know how it's gonna work out when you start shooting, but he freaking nailed it. He was so good. I'm pretty sure that Brothers Cannibal is his first acting gig ever and that guy blew everyone away. Super good, super pro about being an actor on set, he was great. He is the main part of comedy in the film.

BW: Thanks! I know it's clichéd to say, but everybody in the cast and crew were awesome. They all busted their ass to make this thing work and I'm incredibly proud to be a part of it. And being able to work with Matt and Elissa was an absolute joy. Matt and I think a lot alike in many respects so it was easy for us to play brothers and Elissa is such a professional that it was great to watch her work.

SLW: How would you describe it, Elissa?

ED: Well, it's about two guys who get themselves into a lot of chaos and their way of handling it is even more chaotic. It's basically two guys that don't know how to handle a bad situation, and it only gets worse and worse and worse and worse. And it's very funny. It's kind of like a cross between The Big Lebowski… and… If you cross it with… what's that movie with the corpse?

SLW: Weekend at Bernie's?

ED: There you go. It's a cross between The Big Lebowski and Weekend at Bernie's.

SLW: Director question — is it true that Brothers Cannibal isn't as gory as some of your other movies?

CC: While Brothers definitely is leaning to the comedy genre, it's horror roots are very visible. Having to eat a human being, while played for laughs at times, is pretty fucking horrifying at the end of the day. I think us genre fans will be happy with it.

SLW:  What can horror fans expect in terms of gore, in spite of the fact that Brothers Cannibal is really a comedy?

CC: In terms of gore, it is different. in fact, this is the first film I've worked on where I had to leave set because I thought I was going to vomit. A lot of that had to do with me not wanting to use fake blood and organs and stuff so we used lamb organs and it was way too much for me. It looked super real and it's too bad this film won't be in smell-o-vision because that was just as scary. It's funny because there is probably more gore in this film than in some of the other horror films that I have made. I hope the gore fans out there will appreciate the gore in the context that I am using it in.

BW: I still have fake blood in my ear.

SLW: When will we see this movie?

BW: Oh, gawd… They're releasing this?
