i generally liked it - sort of disappointing in ways but overall pretty good (i kept wishing John Waters had directed it)

what did you think about "Fido"

The premise and setting had me going, but the main character was boring -- even for a zombie.

I got the black comedy satire of the fifties culture, in general, but it seemed to wander into a poke at the old 'Lassie' series or something? I lost interest after a while.

I thought it was pretty interesting.
Not hugely funny.
I liked the "reality" it was set in, bit like "Stubbs".
Did not think Fido was the "main" character at all, I thought it was the boy.
I found it watchable, I enjoyed the music and found it refreshing to have a zombie film without "hordes".
I can see how it might not be for the zombie enthusiast everywhere, but, for me I strive to see different films of this type.

I thought the film was hilarious. I know subtlety and nuance are lost on many in this day and age, but this film was very well crafted. Billy Connoly turned in a masterful performance, showing more humanity than many of the "human" characters.
