Zombies vs Strippers

Full Moon's best film in quite some time. Pretty bad as expected but a good time and it's good to see the studio branching out from kill toy flicks for a change.

The Raven

Enjoyed this one a lot... really entertaining stuff. People seem to be mixed on this one but it gets a thumbs up from me. I'm not an uber Poe fan so I could see a few things annoying those who are.

House of the Flesh Mannequins

Pretentious shit with a few lukewarm "extreme" scenes.

That I'm not up on any of the history/story of his life/what he was like as a person to make a judgement on how good a job Cusack did at getting the character down.

Cujo

I like this movie though I could see why others might not, given how slow-moving it is. Still need to read the book.

Think - Dog Soldiers on a budget, with a whole 80s vibe. You will definitely like this one.

It starts off really well, with an interesting and novel premise, and builds up into a superbly decent film. Even though low key and shot throughout one particular night, it builds up plenty of atmosphere and suspense and maintains it pretty well throughout. There's enough gore to satisfy the gorehounds as well, 1-2 scenes pretty cringeworthy.

All in all, a nice little low budget effort which could very well turn out to be a under-appreciated gem of the genre.

Highly recommended.

* * * ½
is this the one where the dude skydives out of the plane with all the money and his "partners in crime" follow?

if so...yeah... a pretty good movie with some great atmosphere......though it kind of fell apart towards the end....if memory serves me correctly.

perhaps another watch is in order

"The Dark Knight Rises" (2012)
-Christian Bale

Plot: IMDB
Eight years on, a new terrorist leader, Bane, overwhelms Gotham's finest, and the Dark Knight resurfaces to protect a city that has branded him an enemy.

Phantom's Review: I've been a Batman fan/collector for about 45 years now. I've seen the character go through many, many changes in those years. Funny live action series, badly animated Saturday morning cartoons, Epic size Gothic motion pictures, brilliant animated series and several things in between, but in my opinion I don't think I've ever seen anything as awesome as "The Dark Knight Trilogy" and the final film in the series, "The Dark Knight rises" is absolutely brilliant.
Great acting, excellent action scenes, great FX and above all a wonderfully written script. I liked how this film brings all three films together and takes it to a entertaining conclusion. And Anne Hathaway looks damn good in that Catwoman outfit.
A great film.
